Zugegeben, dass sind nicht die besten Fotos, aber schließlich sind wir auch um 4 aufgestanden!
Da das alles nicht so schön , here's a few pictures from the flight:
flight went smoothly, except for a late boarding in Cologne / Bonn, which we but still arrived on time in Manchester are =)
After easy luggage pickup we were on our way to the train station. Sandra had to struggle with her suitcase, but all those roll bands on the road was all a bit easier. Finally we arrived 20min vor Abfahrt an den Gleisen an.
Wir konnten uns leider die 40 Minuten Fahrt nicht hinsetzen, da wir auf unser Gepäck aufpassen mussten, was im Türbereich stand. Wir durften es nicht auf die Sitze stellen. Es herrschte ziemlicher Durchgangsbetrieb. Ständig mussten sich Leute an uns vorbeidrängeln ganz ohne ersichtlichen Grund oO, aber wenigstens waren sie sehr höflich.
Auf dem Weg aus der Station scheinen wir sehr verloren ausgesehen zu haben.Sofort sprach uns ein junger Mann an und fragte, ob er helfen könnte. Through him, we immediately found the way to Orlando Village, our home, or as they say here carried up "Hall of Residence" * g *
However, I think that our room did not deserve that name. Run down by neighborhood mattresses, stains on walls and sink. The only good is the carpet, was apparently only fooled again. After all, bathroom and kitchen are in order. (Pictures to follow)
Despite the meantime, we are eating and especially drinking very happy. Aldi, Sainsbury's, McDonalds, Subway, KFC, everything is close ^ ^
We have "something" bought more drinks than food, but chocolate and strawberry milk are also important as bread and stuff: P
Tonight we were able to skype for the first time with the family. Problematic was the end of the connection, apparently, the network here in the evening getting a little overloaded. Unfortunately, Sandra and Jessica have no LAN cable. The university was probably not enough in stock, so we have to wait until Friday, so luckily Chris has to be there ^ ^
Now it's 20:56 local time and we will now have a little time distribution, before we go to great shopping tomorrow ^ ^
