The last days: "Whatseorder?" come after a long wait we finally back to blogging. Where do we start?
Saturday was pretty unspectacular. We spent most of the day hang out with. Which of course is nice sometimes ^ ^
Sunday we went to Manchester by train. This was delayed, so we had the good fortune to meet two foreign language assistants. Christian, a Dresden and Fernanda (or so) from Spain.
Here we noticed the display panels, which instead of showing the timetable, to provide information about their internal functioning tasks. Sandra could not resist and snapped a photo:
In Manchester, we were then randomly at the Manchester Art Gallery over and because the admission was free, we had to in there (student syndrome). Both old modern art were represented, here are some impressions.
The giraffe puzzle sparked the play instinct in us. Only when each piece fits, we were satisfied.
Particularly impressive was the interactive section:
There is one thing; the one in England can not seem to escape: Starbucks! At each corner is a branch ... So we were "forced" auch mal rein zu gehen :-P
the afternoon we were shopping were folded up at half past seven the sidewalks ...
Christoph has indeed found no trousers, but have Jess and Sandra picked out a shirt for Chris (in black of course) ^ ^
While Christopher moved to have driven the girls the time:
We bought all 3, a beautiful poster for our room. Slowly looks really comfortable out ^ ^
the evening, should there be for Sandra and Christopher Pizza .. The call to the pizza service proved quite difficult, because the owners were obviously of Indian origin and therefore neither of them (neither Christian nor the telephone operator) to understand each other ... In addition, we knew neither our UK phone number nor the address of our hostel ... Here's a small excerpt:
Christoph: "Hello, I want to order pizza"
telephonist, "Okay, whatseaddress? Christoph:" Um ... It's a student hall of residence ...." Orlando
telephone operator: "An ' your phone number? " Christoph:" Well, ... AEM, It's a new cell phone ... can you read my number on the display? "
the way, the word" phone "means in English is not" mobile phone ", but they are" handy ", which struck late Christopher telephonist: "?????"
telephone operator: "Okay, whatseorder? Christoph:" Sorry? "
telephonist" Whatseorder? " Christoph: "Ahh okay, Whats the order ... I would like to have ......."
But at the end of the pizza was nevertheless and everything was good. Incidentally, it was delicious =)
yesterday, so Tuesday, we were giving our signed contracts for the dorm and have gone through the same spot another item on the list. We are registered with a GP. It is standard practice that one before you go to a doctor who has to register with all the data.
In the evening we then to the pub "Cattle Market, across from the dorm set. Jessi and Chris have obviously drunk original British beer: Newcastle Brown Ale and Stella Artois.
Today, Wednesday, we had breakfast at a relatively late and were then shopping Of course we also delicious cooked again.
The spinach has Sandra's opinion for something tasted funny, but overall Enough again very tasty.
Now it is 16.30 clock and 18 clock starts our first lecture of the week, object-oriented programming.
