How To Get Into The Carrot Factory

live report from Internet Security (Sandra)

now is 10.03 clock.

we sit for an hour in an incredibly cold computer room. The teacher is very fine, but the air conditioning is broken. I am thinking it is colder inside than outside. (Sorry, no see, or ae) Feels 5 degrees Celsius.

The teachers speak surprisingly good English, are so very understandable.

He currently writes about phishing, hacking and Viruses, I hope we do something soon practical.
If everything actually quite interesting, it would not be so cold, biting *.

More later. I think I will still make a few photos.

Update 10.50 Clock:

yeah, we changed the room. Here it is snug and warm and there can also be much better ^ ^
concentrate now we are in GamesLab. Cool computer giant screens =)

Is There Another Name For Trichloracetic

The last days: "Whatseorder?"

come after a long wait we finally back to blogging. Where do we start?

Saturday was pretty unspectacular. We spent most of the day hang out with. Which of course is nice sometimes ^ ^

Sunday we went to Manchester by train. This was delayed, so we had the good fortune to meet two foreign language assistants. Christian, a Dresden and Fernanda (or so) from Spain.

Here we noticed the display panels, which instead of showing the timetable, to provide information about their internal functioning tasks. Sandra could not resist and snapped a photo:

In Manchester, we were then randomly at the Manchester Art Gallery over and because the admission was free, we had to in there (student syndrome). Both old modern art were represented, here are some impressions.

The giraffe puzzle sparked the play instinct in us. Only when each piece fits, we were satisfied.

Particularly impressive was the interactive section:

There is one thing; the one in England can not seem to escape: Starbucks! At each corner is a branch ... So we were "forced" auch mal rein zu gehen :-P

the afternoon we were shopping were folded up at half past seven the sidewalks ...
Christoph has indeed found no trousers, but have Jess and Sandra picked out a shirt for Chris (in black of course) ^ ^

While Christopher moved to have driven the girls the time:

We bought all 3, a beautiful poster for our room. Slowly looks really comfortable out ^ ^

the evening, should there be for Sandra and Christopher Pizza .. The call to the pizza service proved quite difficult, because the owners were obviously of Indian origin and therefore neither of them (neither Christian nor the telephone operator) to understand each other ... In addition, we knew neither our UK phone number nor the address of our hostel ... Here's a small excerpt:

Christoph: "Hello, I want to order pizza"
telephonist, "Okay, whatseaddress?
Christoph:" Um ... It's a student hall of residence ...." Orlando
telephone operator: "An ' your phone number? "
Christoph:" Well, ... AEM, It's a new cell phone ... can you read my number on the display? "

the way, the word" phone "means in English is not" mobile phone ", but they are" handy ", which struck late Christopher

telephonist: "?????"
telephone operator: "Okay, whatseorder?

Christoph:" Sorry? "
telephonist" Whatseorder? "
Christoph: "Ahh okay, Whats the order ... I would like to have ......."

But at the end of the pizza was nevertheless and everything was good. Incidentally, it was delicious =)

yesterday, so Tuesday, we were giving our signed contracts for the dorm and have gone through the same spot another item on the list. We are registered with a GP. It is standard practice that one before you go to a doctor who has to register with all the data.

In the evening we then to the pub "Cattle Market, across from the dorm set. Jessi and Chris have obviously drunk original British beer: Newcastle Brown Ale and Stella Artois.

Today, Wednesday, we had breakfast at a relatively late and were then shopping Of course we also delicious cooked again.

The spinach has Sandra's opinion for something tasted funny, but overall Enough again very tasty.
Now it is 16.30 clock and 18 clock starts our first lecture of the week, object-oriented programming.

What Do Those Gel Bracelets Mean?

Day 4: ". My name is Sandra U. I'm Piggly What play?"

Today was enrollment (enrollment). Although we have sent with 2 passport photos with your application, we had to sit in front of a camera. There was summarily shot and a digital image immediately to the ID card printing, we got it.

problem was that we were all very tired by the rather short night.

But the photos have been anyway quite nice ^ ^ Is worse ...* cough * Christopher's license * * cough

Today we have the greater ; relaxed ßten part. Not much done, just sitting around and chatted and played on the PC. It is
the quote originated in the title. Piggly is a sweet little game with a pig which collects and candy apples.
Of course the message to the "World of Warcraft" commercials with Mr. T inspired ( Link ).

For dinner gabs delicious baked toast with pepper, tomato, ham, cheese, ketchup and, of course, whole wheat toast.

And that's it for now ^ ^ Have a nice
Day and evening!

PS: We have since yesterday our cool Skype Phones. This allows us to make free phone calls through the Skype installed on the phone in the world. Anyone who wants a little talk with us, who can even log on to the usual ways ^ ^

What Does Perrier Do To Hookah?

Day 2 and 3: "It sounded so real degree, I thought that would be in the game!"

Hallöchen my love,

after we have now repeatedly been asked why we have not updated the blog yesterday, we now give to the many requests and write more ^ ^

the evening played Sandra and Chris "FEAR 2", a pretty creepy game. Suddenly went out by a police car. While Sandra was no longer sure whether the sound of the siren, it comes out of the game, so the quote in the title :-)

Yesterday was not very busy. We were downtown on bargain hunting and have found it this great elephant. Three pieces, one for each!

"Mach mal ne coole Pose Christoph !"... I think he must still work>.> \u0026lt;. \u0026lt;

Afterwards we went to eat fish and chips was quite tasty salted for my taste a little bit!

the evening (actually night), we then opened the kitchen.
Granted, the court was a peculiar mix (noodles + broccoli), but it was tasty;)

thing in the morning at 9 we had a professor at sein.Hier we are in the waiting area.

Alias 2 Change Vibrate

Day 1: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck would chuck wood?

Hallo alle zusammen^^

Das sind wir:

Zugegeben, dass sind nicht die besten Fotos, aber schließlich sind wir auch um 4 aufgestanden!

Da das alles nicht so schön , here's a few pictures from the flight:

flight went smoothly, except for a late boarding in Cologne / Bonn, which we but still arrived on time in Manchester are =)

After easy luggage pickup we were on our way to the train station. Sandra had to struggle with her suitcase, but all those roll bands on the road was all a bit easier.

Through him, we immediately found the way to Orlando Village, our home, or as they say here carried up "Hall of Residence" * g *

However, I think that our room did not deserve that name. Run down by neighborhood mattresses, stains on walls and sink. The only good is the carpet, was apparently only fooled again. After all, bathroom and kitchen are in order. (Pictures to follow)

Despite the meantime, we are eating and especially drinking very happy. Aldi, Sainsbury's, McDonalds, Subway, KFC, everything is close ^ ^

We have "something" bought more drinks than food, but chocolate and strawberry milk are also important as bread and stuff: P

Tonight we were able to skype for the first time with the family. Problematic was the end of the connection, apparently, the network here in the evening getting a little overloaded. Unfortunately, Sandra and Jessica have no LAN cable. The university was probably not enough in stock, so we have to wait until Friday, so luckily Chris has to be there ^ ^

Now it's 20:56 local time and we will now have a little time distribution, before we go to great shopping tomorrow ^ ^

A high-bred transistor made of graphene

High switching speed with gentle production method

Christian ⋅ memory to silicon can be said much good. Not for nothing is the preferred material of the semiconductor industry. To be desired, however, the low mobility of its electrons. It is the reason that silicon transistors are not very fast. Where high working frequencies are in demand - such as the reinforcement of high-frequency signals in wireless communication - is one reason to semiconductors such as gallium arsenide or indium phosphide, which are distinguished by a high mobility of electrons. The competitors of the silicon itself, however, sits a competitor in the neck. Researchers at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) have presented a transistor made of graphene, the inferior to the fastest transistors in anything.

¹

graph is a form of carbon, which consists of a single atomic layer of graphite. Six years ago it was the first time, researchers succeeded in graphene flakes with a tape from a graphite block to withdraw and transfer them to a support. In examining the flakes turned out soon, which has excellent properties graph. Wakes you high mobility of its charge carriers hope to be able to build ultra-fast transistors.

In fact in 2007 the first graphene transistor was presented. This was followed in rapid succession. At the end of 2008, already the first transistor, which was operating in the gigahertz range. Earlier this year, cracked Phaedon Avouris and his colleagues at the IBM Watson Research Center in New York the 100-GHz mark.

The graph of transistor Xiangfeng Duan and his colleagues at the UCLA breaks the record now. The cutoff frequency - this is the frequency of the signals, the transistor can reinforce just yet - is 300 gigahertz. He is as fast as comparable transistors made of gallium arsenide and indium phosphide. If one considers that the first graphene transistor was produced just three years ago, was this a remarkable result, Frank Schwierz place from the Technical University of Ilmenau. Transistors made of gallium arsenide and indium phosphide were needed for the same development for nearly three decades.

The key to success is the special production method, the researchers at UCLA have chosen. The lithographic process by which the semiconductor industry typically fabricated transistors, can in principle be transferred to graphs. Because graphene is as thin but there are often defects that may destroy the excellent qualities of the material in part.

The researchers came up with something so different. They placed first nano-wires with a conductive core and an insulating jacket and her medal winner this on the graphene layer. Then was a thin layer of platinum deposited on the graph. By just 140 nanometers thick nanowire the continuous platinum layer has been lost. Thus, two separate areas, which formed two of the electrodes of the transistor. The nanowire itself was the third electrode can be controlled by the current flow in the underlying graphene layer. The researchers were able to convince them that the mobility of charge carriers in graphene affected by this kind of production actually no.

Schwierz sees the work of California researchers a big step forward. However, he is under no Cause for euphoria. The new manufacturing process is optimal while for each transistor. He fears, however, that it is less likely to produce a large number of transistors. Avouris shares these doubts. In his eyes there is no alternative to the established lithographic methods of the semiconductor industry when they wanted to manufacture integrated circuits in graphs.

Where To Buy A Belly Dance Hip Scarf In Toronto

yadda yadda yadda

i'm really nervous, which might be due to the two huge cups of coffee i had today... or maybe it's because st andrews is wrecking my nerves. i changed my modules today because i wasn't sure whether i could take modules from year four, although there is no real reason to think i can't... anyways, i hope that doesn't put me at the back of the queue, in case there is one, that is... and i'm not sure i want to do one of the modules i have chosen but the one i would have liked better clashed with the american drama of the 20th century one... very confusing. bottom line, i hope i will at leats be able to do the german modules and especially the translation one because if i can't, it will certainly mean i'll have to study two more semesters after i come home from scotland... oh i hope it works out!
other than that, i finished my pendergast-novels and haven't been able to get my hands on the latest one so far... if i could meet one literary character, it would be special agent pendergast.... is that sad? probably.
i also started reading "mister pip" today, generous gift of the u. of st a. i don't like it so far but maybe those thrillers have messed up my brain. i'll have to reconsider my participation in the st a book club...
what else... oh yeah, i watched a brilliant movie called "groupies bleiben nicht zum frühstück" the other day. ummm. if it hadn't been for unbelievably gorgeous kostja ullmann, i certainly wouldn't have made it through the film. the girl protagonist's voice was more than annoying, the script was full of cheesy lines and in the end, the happy couple raped "stumbelin' in". it was horrific.
i'll be driving to the netherlands tomorrow, to leiden, and i'll stay until monday, very much looking forward to that. (: i'll also be buying a suitcase... and maybe some more adapters... after that, it'll only be fife more days until my departure!
other than that, i just have to say for the record that this last semester probably has been my best so far, grade-wise, which is great and exciting because i really thought i would fail at least one exam and/ or go nuts. well, i didn't!
